Furano City is famous for its lavender fields overlooking Mt. Tokachi, and from late June to early August, the entire area is dyed purple, creating a fantastic sight. In winter, Furano Ski Resort is popular, and easily accessible by bus from Furano Station.
Access2 hours from New Chitose Airport by car on the expressway. From Sapporo, take the Furano highway bus for about 3 hours and 30 minutes.
